Rob Veno Power Ratings
Quick link to Rob Veno's power ratings. Up to date indicators on where Rob prices the market this week.

Rob Veno’s Handicapping Experience and Achievements:

Rob Veno, a Connecticut native, originally moved to Las Vegas for the tile industry, but quickly found his true passion in sports handicapping.  Widely regarded in the sports-betting industry for his extensive knowledge of sports personnel and impeccable power ratings, Rob Veno Sports has been producing winning results for more than 14 years.

As the only handicapper in the nation to produce five consecutive winning football seasons, 2001-2005, and three consecutive winning NBA Playoff seasons, 2003-2005, Rob Veno has earned a reputation as “Mr. Consistency” in the sports-gambling industry.

As a result of Rob Veno’s expert insight and analysis into the sports-betting world, Rob is recognized as the premier sports betting expert on numerous local sports talk shows nationwide.  He can also be heard daily on the Sports Memo Radio Show daily.

Rob Veno’s Favorite Handicapping Tool at Sportsmemo.com:

Rob Veno uses the game matchups at Sportsmemo.com more than any other handicapping tool.  With stats on every game on the board, including injury reports, trend sheets, team reports and standings all in one place, the game matchups at Sportsmemo.com are your one-stop shop for stats on every game, team and matchup.

Rob Veno’s Top Pick of Sports to Handicap:

As the only handicapper in the nation with five consecutive winning football seasons, 2001-2005, Rob Veno’s sports handicapping passion clearly lies in both college and professional football.

Rob Veno’s Blogs:

For Rob Veno, as with all of the Sports Memo Handicappers, sports-betting is an investment opportunity.  As a result, Rob is not a fan of any particular sport or team, but of finding the best value in any team or matchup.  When it comes to blogs, Rob enjoys writing about anything timely in the world of sports and/or sports-betting no matter what the season.

Rob Veno’s Favorite Sports Writers:

Rob Veno finds the most valuable information from a variety of beat and local writers.  These writers usually know the individual teams on a more intimate level than syndicated writers and, as a result, provide more insight.

Rob Veno’s Picks for Sharp Announcers:

Kirk Herbstreit, Ron Franklin, Gary Thorne and Phil Simms

Rob Veno’s Handicapping System:

Rob Veno typically uses a fundamental system for handicapping sports.  However, he also utilizes situational and technical handicapping systems where they can be applied with sound reasoning.

Rob Veno Reliving The Good ‘Ole Days:

Rob Veno is not a sentimental bettor, but he does recall his first trip to Vegas where he experienced his first March Madness in Sin City:

“It was 1988 and my first trip to Las Vegas and my first NCAA tourney.  We stayed at Bally’s and I was laying some big money, well big money for me at that time, on South Alabama and their ‘Peanut Butter and Jelly Backcourt.’  The game came down to the last shot, but I ended up making a ton of money on the first day of March Madness.  It’s been 18 years and I still remember cashing my first big ticket in Vegas just like it was yesterday.”

Rob Veno’s Game Day Ritual:

With two growing boys and 14 years of sports handicapping experience, Rob Veno doesn’t have much time or need for a regular game-day routine; Rob simply wakes up, logs onto his computer and checks his pointspread screen, watches the games and completes his sports-betting game writeups and power numbers.

Where Rob Veno Shops:

Always looking to get the best of the number, Rob Veno “shops around” at reduced juice sportsbooks.  Rob’s top picks are The Greek, Cris and Pinnacle.

When Bad Things Happen To Good People-Rob Veno’s Worst Beat of the Year:

On February 1, 2006, Rob Veno released a 20* BLUECHIP on Notre Dame-West Virginia OVER 142.5.  The game was 71-70 with less than a minute to go when the final three possessions resulted in a pair of missed layups, either of which would have made the play a winner.  The final straw came with a missed jumper at the buzzer.  It was gut-wrenching to say the least and as difficult a loss as Rob Veno had to endure this past year.

Rob Veno’s Vote For Sports Analyst Who Should be Voted Off The Island:

Rob Veno on Sports Betting:

Always looking for the best sports-betting opportunities, Rob Veno will bet on any and every sport, team and/or conference that he views to have value.
