Rarely will I recommend a game that has moved three or four points. However, I like this game at -17 or less for many reasons. For one, the Falcons return 17 starters while Idaho only returns 10. Idaho is forced to use back-up QB Logan Bushnell because starting QB Dominique Blackman is in the coaches dog house for undisclosed reasons, but we have heard it is a disciplinary action. Idaho lost to FCS Eastern Washington 3-20, and the game wasn't even that close. The Vandals had horrific stats, only 10 first downs, 2 of 15 on 3rd down, zero sacks and Bushnell was an atrocious 10 of 24 passing. Their defense surrendered 412 yards to 237 gained. All these factors also lead to another reason that Idaho is not going to have a good season, because next year they are headed down to the FCS Championship Division. The players that are on scholarship surely are looking elsewhere to play in the FBS. The Falcons gave #24 Florida all they could handle and QB Matt Schilz has the skill position players to score 40 in this contest. If Eastern Washington can beat Idaho by 17, I believe Bowling Green can win by 21 or more and that is my line in this game -21. |
