Beat Boston NCAA Basketball Contest Announcement

FIRST EVER $50K “BEAT BOSTON” NCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL CONTEST PITS PRO TOUT V. PRO BETTOR IN A WINNER TAKES ALL MATCH-UP

LAS VEGAS, NV Jan. 6— SportsMemo.com’s Brent Crow will take on Alan Boston in

Leroy’s $50K “Beat Boston” College Basketball Contest live from Leroy’s sportsbook in

Las Vegas’s Riviera Hotel and Casino every Friday night for the next eight weeks.

The contest is comprised of five selections and one “best bet” submitted weekly.  It will

pit Senior Sports Memo Handicapper and former college basketball player, Crow

against professional bettor Boston, featured in, “The Odds: One Season, Three

Gamblers, and the Death of Their Las Vegas” by Chad Millman.

John Kelly and Arne Lang will co-host the contest that matches up Crow, a modest

and well respected gaming expert against Boston an arrogant, anti-tout professional

bettor.  It will air on KDWN-AM 720 Friday nights from 8pm-9pm PST for eight weeks

starting Jan. 6th.

“This match up will be interesting to watch as it unfolds; Crow’s laid back,

unpretentious style will definitely contrast with Boston’s brash nature,” commented

Sports Memo’s CEO Tim Trushel.

Crow posted an NCAA Men’s Basketball record of 67-41 62% in 2004-2005, bringing his

five year documented record to 452-337 57.3%.   Currently, Boston does not have a

documented record.

Leroy’s posted $30K to sponsor Boston and Nine.com posted the remaining $20K to

endorse the underdog, Crow.  Nine.com’s famous Nine girls will also be on site for

photo opportunities and free prizes.

The weekly contest selections and standings can be tracked at www.beatboston.net.
