Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview
The Dodgers put on yet another strong offensive performance last night and they took home the victory. Los Angeles is 41-25 on the season and they are tied for first place in the NL West with the Padres.
The Dodgers are 21-13 on the road this year and they are 36-29 covering the run line as a favorite this season. Los Angeles is just 5-5 in their last 10 games and they have outscored opponents by 8 runs during this stretch.
Lefty Tyler Anderson is making the start for the Dodgers tonight on the road. Anderson is 8-0 on the season with a 2.82 ERA, a .94 WHIP, and a 3.08 FIP.
Los Angeles has won the last six games Anderson has started this season. In his last start, Anderson brought a no-hitter into the top of the ninth inning but he ended up losing it. In his last three starts, Anderson has gone 17.1 innings allowing four runs on eight hits with 15 strikeouts.
Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview
The Reds are one of the worst teams in baseball and they have certainly been playing like it. The Reds are 3-7 in their last 10 games and they have been outscored by 16 runs during this stretch.
Cincinnati is 23-44 on the season and they are 12-21 at home. The Reds have the fourth-best OPS in the Majors at home and the 2nd worst OPS on the road. As underdogs this season, the Reds are 25-26 covering the run line.
Luis Castillo will make the start for the Reds tonight at home. Castillo, the righty, is 2-4 on the season with a 3.33 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, and a 3.43 FIP. Castillo has made eight starts this season and he has been the same on the road and at home.
In his last two starts, Castillo has allowed five runs on 10 hits in 13 innings of work. Tonight, he will face one of the three best offenses in all of baseball.
Los Angeles Dodgers at Cincinnati Reds Prediction
Luis Castillo is easily the best pitcher on the Reds, and the Reds are much better offensively at home, but why are the Dodgers just -150 on the moneyline?
It seems a little fishy, and maybe it is a trap, but I am laying that juice on LA to win today. For my Full Wednesday MLB Card, check out my handicapper profile on Sportsmemo.
