Let me start with an excerpt from my pro-Nets write-up on Monday Night; an easy blowout win over Phoenix.  Numbers have been edited slightly to reflect current realities:

“Kyrie Irving is hurt again for the Nets, hence the short pointspread to support Brooklyn at home this evening.  It’s not like the Nets can’t win without Kyrie --- they went 13-13 in his extended absence already this year.  Head Coach Kenny Atkinson: “We’ll have other guys step up and contribute.”  The Nets won each of their last three home games by double digit margins and they’re primed to take care of business at home tonight.”

The Nets final three games before the All Star Break come against Toronto (twice) and Indiana.  They come out of the break to face Philadelphia in Philly.  Head coach Kenny Atkinson knows what this means, with those ‘step-up-in-class’ games on tap: "We have to start getting back some wins we left along the way, so this is a good start. It's an important week for us, so I think the guys felt that (against Phoenix on Monday). They felt the sense of urgency."

While the Nets can be expected to bring their ‘A’ game tonight, the Warriors cannot.  Golden State is coming off back-2-back wins for the first time since December, beating the Wizards and Cavs in their last two ballgames.  Washington and Cleveland are both bottom feeders who don’t play a lick of defense.  I’m not expecting 48 minutes of competitive basketball for Steve Kerr’s limited squad here on the finale of their long East Coast swing.  Chalk worth laying whether D’Angelo Russell (probable) suits up for Golden State or not!  Take the Nets
