    3%  Take Washington (#552)

All of a sudden, waaaaaaay underneath the radar, the Washington Wizards have moved into the #9 seed in the East, only 2.5 games behind Orlando for a playoff spot.  They’ve won three times in their last four games on their current homestand (two of them outright upsets against playoff bound foes); heating up right now!  Veteran leader Bradley Beal following the Wizards last second win over Dallas on Friday Night: “It just meant a lot to win at the end of the day. We've got four or five home games before the break. We can take full advantage of that and be sitting right in the playoff picture."

And make no mistake about it – there’s been a significant talent infusion in DC over the last two weeks.  It started with the return from injury for key role players like Rui Hachimura, Davis Bertans and Mo Wagner; all of whom are back after extended absences.  The trade deadline addition of Shabazz Napier had an immediate impact as well.  All of a sudden, the Wizards have a deep bench; they’re energized, and they’re loaded with floor-spacing shooters who can drain open looks from beyond the arc.  Another trade deadline acquisition, Jerome Robinson, is expected to join the rotation today.  The betting markets have given this legitimate improvement a bored yawn.  I’m not going to make that mistake against a Grizzlies team in their road finale before the All Star Break.  Take the Wizards.
