    Portugal Taca de Portugal (Cup)

Benfica endured a rare loss this weekend, 2-3 at Porto, the other top team in the Primeira Liga.  Even still, benfica remains four points up on Porto in the table and looked prime to run the rest of the way through the league.  They have an 18-0-2 league record with a sparkling 49:11 goal differential.  They have just five losses on the entire season, three in the Champions League and two in the Primeira Liga.  They have immediately rebounded after every loss with a win or an unbeaten run of at least three games.  They have been playing near perfect football before that loss to Porto as they were unbeaten in 17 straight matches in all competitions with 14 wins and three draws.

Famalicao had a strong start to the season but have started to fade and are now winless in their last five games after their 0-7 home loss to Guimaraes.  Granted they went down a man and had to play with 10 men, they were already trailing 0-2 when Anderson was sent off.  They have played Benfica twice already this year, losing 0-4 in league play and 2-3 in the first leg of this two-legged semifinal.  That means Benfica actually only needs to draw this game to move on, but I think they will still earn a win.  If they net and early goal or two, their progression will be all but sealed and they can tighten up defensively and hold for the win.

Benfica will put out their best XI for this match as they did in the first leg as the winner goes to the final to face to the winner of Porto/Academico Viseu and Benfica's best is head and shoulders above Famalicao's.
