I could do this write-up in five words: “The Bulls can’t be laying.”

The Bulls are 2-7 SU since the All Star Break.  One of those two wins came by two points, not enough to cover tonight’s pointspread.  They’re playing without leading scorer and playmaker Zack LaVine; one of a myriad of injured contributors to Jim Boylen’s rotation.  As a result of all the injuries, and their 21-43 record, Boylan is ready to go with the youngsters getting their chance at playing time, inserting rookie Coby White into the starting lineup tonight.

Boylen’s quote: “We've talked about winning and developing (with GM John Paxson), and there may be a moment where we turn into pure development mode. That's what you do. To me, if that's what is best for the franchise, that's what helps us to continue to grow and get better, I'm sure we'll do that."  Chicago is playing for ping-pong balls right now, not wins.

The Cavs are 5-5 SU, 6-3-1 ATS since JB Bickerstaff took over for John Beilein.  They’ve just won back-2-back games against Denver and San Antonio and they’re looking for more after matching last year’s 19 win total with 16 games still to play.  Forward Larry Nance, a real sparkplug for this team: "We're just going to keep pushing for 20 (wins), keep pushing for 25. Who knows where this ... I don't even know how many games we have left, but we're going to try to get 'em all."  False favorite here!  Take the Cavs.
