     3% Take Miami (#746)

The Miami Heat were off to a great start, well on their way to sweeping the Bucks out of the playoffs.  Then Giannis got hurt, and Miami exhaled.  Jimmy Butler: "Well, it shouldn't affect ours, but I think that we relaxed a little bit (after Giannis left the game).  And we stopped playing basketball the right way. We stopped guarding. We stopped living by our defensive principles. We weren't getting 50-50 balls. We were getting outrebounded. It was just all bad."  All Star Bam Adebayo: “I feel like we played like we were up 3-0. That's not giving enough effort, not sacrificing our body, and we ended up losing because we were up 3-0. They're a good team. So at the end of the day, we should have played like we were in Game 1, Game 2 and Game 3 ... I feel like we didn't play a maximum effort the whole game."

We can expect max effort from the Heat here – they essentially get a mulligan, without pressure, thanks to a 3-1 series lead.  And the Bucks are primed to be more than a bit gassed after a max effort OT win in Game 4.  This will be their sixth straight game without more than one day in between (Miami got a week off prior to the series).  Khris Middleton hadn’t played more than 40 minutes in any game all year.  He played 48 on Sunday.  Brook Lopez had a season high in minutes.  So did Eric Bledsoe.  At some point in this one, Miami is likely to pull away whether Giannis suits up or not…. Take the Heat.
