I'm playing on OAKLAND. While I successfully played against the A's in yesterday's righty vs. righty matchup, I feel that they'll have the edge in today's all-southpaw affair. The M's are 6-8 vs. left-handed starters, 52-68 the past few seasons. The A's, on the other hand, are 9-0 against southpaws, 75-38 the past few seasons. Luzardo was sharp last time out, as he held Houston to two runs through seven complete innings. To his credit, Gonzales was also sharp. In fact, both had a nearly identical stat-line. Both allowed two runs, on four hits, through seven innings. Both had 7 K's. The A's have a big edge in the bullpen department though. Oakland relievers have a 1.94 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP and they've converted 88% of their save opportunities. Seattle relievers have converted 67% of saves and have an ugly 6.26 combined ERA. Off yesterday's loss, I say the A's bounce back.
