    3%  Take Toronto (#965).

After sweeping their series against the A’s last weekend behind a ‘Vladdy surge’ – the team was clearly energized with prized prospect Vladimir Guerrero joining the big league roster – Toronto has lost their first two in LA against the Angels.    The Jays certainly haven’t been a ‘sweep ‘ team – the only time all season they got swept was at powerful Cleveland, back in early April when they were struggling mightily, off to a 3-8 start.

Since that time, the Jays are 11-8.  Nine of those eleven wins have come at an underdog price.  They won five times on their last road trip (against two solid squads, not bottom feeders) – we can trust the Jays to win on the highway.  And former prized prospect Aaron Sanchez has allowed a grand total of 21 hits in his 31 innings of work this season; Toronto has won each of his last three trips to the hill – he’s undervalued in the betting markets right now.

Meanwhile, Tyler Skaggs doesn’t merit this pricetag today in his second start back from the DL after an ankle injury.  His quote following his first start back isn’t exactly confidence inducing: “A little rusty. I missed a lot of spots. Luckily they didn't hit that many mistakes."  It’s not like the Angels have any sort of bullpen edge tonight, or that the Blue Jays can’t hit lefties – they’re 6-2 against opposing southpaws; an emerging trend worth riding tonight.  Take the Blue Jays.
