Both the Kansas City Royals and the Chicago White Sox have not performed well recently to say the least, both the Royals and the White Sox are 3-7 in their last 10 games and have both been giving up a lot of runs in the process. The Royals and the White Sox are in a very interesting spot with this game as they will also be finishing up their game from Monday during the early evening as it was delayed due to weather conditions. These players will certainly be in for a long day and when I look at that I take a big look at starting pitching  and who's the home team (White Sox) that will deal better with this long night of baseball and perform better in front of their home crowd.

Ultimately, the White Sox are coming off back to back poor series performances, specifically against the Twins so they will look to bounce back strong against a Royals team that has given up a whopping 32 runs over their last 5 games.

This one to me is a clear pitching mismatch, the Royals are sending out Brad Keller to the mound who is currently 3-5 on the season and holds a 4.43 ERA. Keller just recently snapped a four game losing streak and won for the first time since April 12th, it's easy to say he's having a rough year. Keller has struggled with control all season, he's been having major issues with walking too many batters and building up a high pitch count early into games.  Meanwhile, for the White Sox, they'll be sending Lucas Giolito to the mound and he has looked very sharp so far in this 2019 campaign. Giolito currently holds a 6-2 record with a 2.77 ERA. Giolito has now won 4 straight starts and extended his winning streak to five in Houston after striking out nine during a 4 hit shutout. Giolito is just 26 and seems to be at the prime of his career and in clear top shape and performance.

This will be a long day for both of these clubs, I'm taking the team with the better depth and the dominant pitching matchup.

Play: White Sox -145 play to -155 for 5%.
