3%  Take San Diego (#956) on the Run Line

Even off a frustrating loss on Sunday, the Padres are surging, pounding out a whopping 17 home runs while winning four of their last five overall.  Manager Andy Green: "It's been nice to watch the offense really pick it up. Across the board, we've had better at-bats, deeper at-bats and had bigger hits, putting more runs on the board."  San Diego has been particularly good at home; 5-1 in their last six tries after playing sub .500 baseball at Petco Park through the first 12 weeks of the campaign.

The Padres hot bats are likely to be a problem for Jeff Samardzija; struggling once again.  The Giants are 2-7 in Samardzija’s last nine starts, with only one quality start (against the MLB worst Orioles) during that entire span.  The Giants, on the other hand, haven’t hit all year, particularly against opposing southpaws like Logan Allen – they’ve averaged more than a full run less per nine innings versus lefties than they score against righties.  Allen’s first two big league starts have cashed a pair of Padres Run Line bets with ease, an emerging trend worth riding tonight.  Take the Padres on the Run Line.
