    4%  Take Cincinnati (#277)

I’m going to keep this write-up short and sweet.  In fact, I can do it in four words: ‘Pittsburgh can’t be laying.’

Make no mistake about it – the Steelers without Big Ben, LeVeon Bell and Antonio Brown aren’t a good offensive team.  The Steelers average of 23 yards per offensive drive ranks #29 in the NFL.  With Mason Rudolph behind center, the Steelers rank #28 in the NFL In ‘three and outs’ on offense.   Last week, at San Francisco, the Steelers defense played as well as they could play, notching five turnovers.  They still lost the game, and couldn’t get a key stop when it mattered down the stretch.  This is a winless team laying more than a field goal; not exactly what I would call a ‘positive expectation’ wager.

Cinci has hung tough in both previous road tilts, giving a pair of solid teams – Buffalo and Seattle; both of whom are better than Pittsburgh – a real battle, right down to the final possession; losing by a combined margin of five points.  Catching more than a field goal here, the Bengals are a clear choice for this bettor – Zac Taylor is primed to win his first game as an NFL head coach…or at least come really close.  Too many points for this bottom-feeder Steelers team to lay!  Take the Bengals.
