    5% Take Tampa Bay (#465)

It’s been a ‘road dog’ year in the NFL so far, and there’s ample reason to think the Bucs will be able to continue that trend on Sunday in New Orleans. We’ve yet to see Teddy Bridgewater in a ‘playing from behind’ situation since he took over for the injured Drew Brees. After a Monday Night Football home game, a rematch against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year, a visit to perennial contender Seattle and a ‘down to the final possession’ slobberknocker against perennial contender Dallas this past week, I’m not convinced the Saints can bring max intensity for a fifth straight week. Even if they do, I’m not convinced that Bridgewater is primed to lead this offense up and down the field in a tight game, something he hasn’t done yet as a Saint. And the Bucs certainly look capable of hanging tough, even against a top notch foe. Tampa’s Week 1 loss to San Francisco doesn’t look nearly as bad now, and they did have an 18 point second half lead in the game they blew against the Giants. In between those two losses have been impressive wins – last week against the previously undefeated Rams, in Week 2 against a Panthers team that hasn’t lost since. Defensively under Todd Bowles, this team has an impressive stat sheet; strong against the run and improving against the pass. Offensively, the Bucs have outgained the Saints on a ‘yards per play’ basis this season; a team that has proven they can score with anybody early in the Bruce Arians era. Live dog here!
