3%  Take the LA Dodgers (#955)

Both of these lineups have the capacity to put up runs in bunches.  But only one of these pitching staffs is primed to shut down their opponent tonight.  And I’m VERY interested in backing the Dodgers off a loss, a role where the Dodgers played .660 baseball this year including a 17-7 mark off a loss since the All Star Break.

Hyun Jin Ryu had a dominant regular season and he’s dominated the Nationals lineup repeatedly – current Nats have a .497 OPS against him in a decent 129 at bats sample size.  Behind Ryu, the Dodgers bullpen has only allowed one run in the first two games; a relatively trustworthy unit.

Washington’s bullpen, on the other hand, is a clear problem area, especially without one of their aces expected to jump into the fray tonight.  And while Anibal Sanchez has pitched well down the stretch, he’s no Scherzer and no Strasburg, notching only 4 wins in 15 previous starts on this field this year; an ERA that’s nearly a full run higher in DC than on the highway.  Look for LA to bounce back strong tonight!  Take the Dodgers
