San Diego FC has been the story of the 2025 MLS season. In their inaugural year, they didn’t just make the playoffs — they obliterated expansion team expectations. They finished atop the Western Conference, set a new league record for points by an expansion side, and earned home field advantage throughout the postseason. At Snapdragon Stadium they’ve been borderline untouchable, and their playoff performances so far have been convincing: dominant wins over opponents while looking comfortable and in control.
