I'm a little unsure why this game is a "pick-em" essentially.
Utah is 12-12-3 overall, including just 5-9-2 on the road, while Anaheim is 16-9-1 overall, including 9-3 at home.
The Mammoth are playing poorly right now, as they've lost four in a row, allowing 15 goals and scoring 9 in the process.
With tough upcoming games at Vancouver and Calgary right after this, it's also important to note that Utah already lost here by a score of 3-2 in overtime in mid-November.
Utah both averages and concedes three goals per game. On the offensive end, that ranks 19th, and on the defensive end, it ranks 15th.
The Ducks have been trading wins and losses over their last seven games, and they're coming off a 4-1 win at St. Louis. After this, they welcome Washington and Chicago, so the immediate schedule is much more manageable for Anaheim, especially now back at home, where I already outlined that they're 9-3 so far this season.
Anaheim averages 3.6 goals per game, which ranks second in the league, and it concedes 3.2, which ranks 22nd.
Karel Vejmelka is scheduled between the pipes for the Mammoth, and he's 10-7-2 with a 2.87 goals against, while Ville Husso will likely get the call in net for Anaheim, and he's 2-1 with a 2.69 GAA.
For argument's sake, let's call these goaltenders a "wash" in this matchup.
Taking into account the situational factors that I've listed, along with the lop-sided stats for the Ducks I've also outlined, I feel that this is in fact the very definition of "great line value."
Consider ANAHEIM on Wednesday night.
