NBA | (521) New York Knicks at (522) Orlando Magic | 7:10pm EDT - Mar 23/2023 |
The PLAY: New York Knicks -2.5 (-110)
2* #521 New York Knicks (-2.5) over Orlando Magic —
Miami stepped it up on their home court last night and took down the Knicks, who also failed to cover the spread. Although tonight, there is more than one thing pointing towards the Knicks.
Their offense has been hot, despite the loss, they have shot over 51% in consecutive games. Plus, they have dominated in two situations that both apply here tonight …
- Facing teams with W% < .500 …
- 18-4 ATS on the road!
- 15-2 ATS in the L17 on the road
- 7-2 SUATS in the L9 overall vs. teams < .500
- 17-7 ATS in L24 vs. teams < .500 w/ line>(-4.5)
- 13-4 ATS in L17 vs. teams < .500 w/ line>(-4.5)
- 6 straight W when line>(-4.5)
- 4-1 SUATS vs. teams < .500, when off B2B ATS L’s
- 5-2 SUATS vs. teams < .500, when off B2B SU L’s
- 18-4 ATS on the road!
- Playing WITHOUT any rest
- 7-2-1 ATS in the L10 w/ ZERO rest
- 4-0 ATS in the L4 w/ ZERO rest
- 3-0 ATS in the L3 w/ ZERO rest on the ROAD
The Knicks have been a good road team all season in general though, posting a 23-13 ATS record away from MSG. Over the last couple years they have also had a definitive edge in the Amway Center specifically.
Orlando actually has played worse defense at home this season too, which will definitely come into play. They have allowed 1 more PPG @ H than they have in terms of their season average. Plus, the Magic are just 1-6 ATS in the L7 @ H off a W. When you take that a little further, they are just 1-8 ATS in the L9 games after a double-digit win in their previous game! Not only are they failing to cover those games, but they are losing those games by over 11 PPG!
