The PLAY: Los Angeles Dodgers -134 Action
The Dodgers were down 6-1 halfway through yesterday’s game and it was not a problem, as LA’s high powered offense came storming back for an 8-6 win. That took care of a sweep of the Nationals on the road in a series were the they scored 31 runs. The team that’s going for their 3rd consecutive World Series title is currently first in baseball in batting average, home runs, and OPS. Justin Wrobleski takes the mound and he’s done a great job limiting hard contact with a hard hit rate of just 21.4%.
The Blue Jays are also slightly overvalued in the betting market due to their World Series run a season ago. But that was a completely different team and they will take a big step back this year. Toronto lost a ton of talent from last year's roster and they’re going to send Max Scherzer to the mound. Scherzer definitely isn’t the pitcher he used to be. He had a good first start, but that came against the Rockies. His velocity is down, and he’ll hang breaking balls that the Dodgers will be all over. Toronto’s bullpen has been bad as well, coming in at 7th worst in terms of ERA. This is a rare situation where we’re getting value on LA. Take the Dodgers.
