David Hess has been money, sitting on a 10–2 run in his last 12 plays at SportsMemo. Last night’s loss stung, but he’s been bouncing back all season, and tonight he’s locked in on a strong NBA totals play he trusts. The edge is there, the number is right, and it’s just $7.00.

The PLAY: Minnesota Twins -118 Action
Minnesota is the side that makes the most sense here, and it starts with the clear edge on the mound. Joe Ryan has absolutely owned the Royals in his career — 8–1 with a 2.02 ERA in 11 starts, and he’s been just as good at Kauffman Stadium with a 4–1 record and a 2.25 ERA in six outings. He’s also historically sharp early in the season, carrying an 11–4 record and a 2.62 ERA in March/April across 22 starts, which fits the way he looked in his season debut. Kansas City simply doesn’t bring much offensive pressure right now, averaging 2.25 runs per game with a .192 team average and a .573 OPS, all bottom‑five numbers. Minnesota hasn’t hit much either, but they still hold the better lineup on paper and have the more reliable arm in this matchup. The Royals’ pitching has been respectable, but when one team has the superior starter, the stronger offense, and a history of dominating the matchup, that’s usually enough to tilt a tight early‑season game. Minnesota is in the better position to take this one behind Ryan’s track record and KC’s ongoing offensive struggles.
