Get my take on the Pistons – 76ers and the Heat – Bucks in the ‘double gamer’ free play video posted below. Here’s a brief synopsis of my rationale behind the Over bet between Doc Rivers and Eric Spoelstra’s squads tonight. These two teams just played in Milwaukee less than two weeks ago; a 128-117 shootout that cashed Over bets with room to spare, despite neither squad shooting particularly well – it was all pace; two teams that aren’t shy about playing uptempo basketball. I’m expecting more of the same here, with the Heat hanging 120+ five times in six home games since the All Star Break and the Bucks continuing to play defense like a sieve. Expect pace and points throughout! Take the OVER.

Ajay Mitchell made a triumphant return on Monday night after missing nearly two months with an injury as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Denver Nuggets 129-126. Mitchell crushed this line with 29 PRA across 29 minutes while posting a ridiculous 27% usage rate and shooting 56% on 16 shot attempts. The 23-year-old guard has now covered this line in 8 of his last 9 games and 68% of his games on the season. The Boston Celtics have an elite defense, but they have switched primarily to a man-to-man defense which has resulted in the 3rd highest pull-up rate during their last 10 games. Opposing guards have had some impressive performances against Boston recently as Stephon Castle & De'Aaron Fox combined for 70 PRAs and James Harden & Donovan Mitchell combined for 75 PRAs. The RA is a nice addition to this play as Mitchell becomes the pick-&-roll ballhandler when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on the bench. We’ll look for Giannis Antetokounmpo to take advantage going over 14.5 rebounds + assists against a Heat team that has allowed the seventh most rebounds and second most assists per game to power forwards over the last 30 days. Sure, the Greek Freak hasn’t been putting up the same numbers as he was just before his injury in January, but if the Bucks want any shot at making the Eastern Conference play-in they must start winning games now which starts with Antetokounmpo. The Bucks power forward didn’t play in either of the first two games against Miami this season, but he did average 21.3 rebounds + assists in three head-to-head matchups against the Heat last season. For what it’s worth the 32 minutes Antetokounmpo played in Milwaukee’s last game against Phoenix was the most he’s played since returning from his injury with Miami allowing the third most total rebounds to opponents per game on the season. Look for Antetokounmpo to fill up the stat sheet tonight in Miami going over 14.5 rebounds + assists.
