The PLAY: Cincinnati Reds -144 Action
Let's rewind to the start of May. I called the Reds "overrated" as they'd been extremely fortunate in one-run games up to that point. Sure enough, the regression came and the team dropped eight in a row (four of the losses were by exactly one run!) So it may seem strange to some of you that I would now endorse betting them, in this price range no less.
But this is a straight fade of Nationals' starting pitcher Miles Mikolas, who is having himself quite the horrible start to 2026. Mikolas has a 7.44 ERA and 6.36 WHIP. Things probably can't stay this bad, but there's also little reason to believe Mikolas will show any substantive improvement. Even a lineup like the Reds, which has the lowest batting average in all of MLB (.219), should get to him.
By the way, be sure to click "Action" when making this bet. Washington sometimes puts an opener in front of Mikolas. Regardless, the Reds will get their "licks" off Mikolas and a Nats' bullpen that has the fourth highest ERA in all of MLB. Cincy did win both Saturday & Sunday. While they've fallen from first to last in the NL Central, their record for the season is still 22-19. Consider this a rare endorsement of the Reds, who are 3-0 this season as favorites with Brady Singer on the mound.
