The PLAY: Total Under 9.0 (-110) Andrew Abbott (LHP), Shane Drohan (LHP) Must Start
I'm backing the Under 9 in Wednesday's matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers. The first two games of this series have finished with eight and nine total runs, and the Reds have scored just five combined runs in those contests while Milwaukee has done most of the offensive damage.
Andrew Abbott gets the ball for Cincinnati, and he's been much more consistent than his season ERA suggests. Abbott has allowed one earned run or fewer in 11 consecutive starts, giving the Reds a chance to stay in every game. Milwaukee also sends a quality starter to the mound in Drohan, giving us a stronger pitching matchup than we've seen the last couple of nights.
With Cincinnati's offense struggling to produce, quality starting pitching on both sides, and another competitive divisional matchup, I expect runs to be at a premium.
