The PLAY: Miami Marlins 110 Tyler Phillips (RHP), Jack Perkins (LHP) Must Start
The Miami Marlins tied their best month ever in the month of June going 20-6 and they have been doing it with pitching and offense. July is off to a slow start at 0-2 but I look for that to change in the lid lifter against Oakland this evening. Tyler Phillips comes off of two good starts. He went a combined 13.1 innings giving up 4 runs against St.Louis and Texas. Jack Perkins didn't make it past the 5th in any of his 5 starts in June, and he had an ERA of 6.65. The teams mirror each other at the plate, so I am going with the pitcher in better form. ( Make it an Extra Large Pizza Bet) Take Miami.
