Hunter is relatively new to the sports handicapping world compared to other handicappers but his experience in the analysis of baseball and the MLB is far from that. His baseball resume consists of playing D1 baseball and a short time in professional baseball before an arm injury ended his playing career. He was not just a player he was a student of the game. He constantly was looking at the game inside of the game. A lot of handicappers only look at numbers and stats and do not fully understand what the numbers represent. Some stats carry more weight than others depending on the situation that only someone who has been inside the game can see. He has the advantage of being a player and looking at lines from a high level baseball player's standpoint.
When capping games he prides himself on not playing expensive lines. The majority if not all of his picks will not be plays of more than -120. The reason for this is because baseball is a game where 1 pitch out of the 100's that are thrown can be either make your play win or make your play lose. So with this being the case you might as well have +money or close to even odds or betting on baseball is just not worth the risk. The best team could get beat by the worst on any day of the week all because of 1 pitch. He started his journey submitting free plays for Sportsmemo for 1 month and his weekday free play record was 13-8-1 (62%) +5.75 units with all bets being 1 unit and never laying greater than -120 on any plays. Now on the team he plans to continue his success in helping clients make smart plays in such a difficult sport to handicap like baseball. Hunter also likes to handicap NFL, College Football, and College Basketball.
