LOTTE’s bullpen is not completely dead, but it has a few soft spots. Choi Jun-yong has been excellent at 1.00 ERA / 0.89 WHIP, but Kim Won-jung is at 6.43 ERA / 2.29 WHIP, Choi E-jun is at 7.94 ERA / 1.76 WHIP, and Park Joon-woo is at 7.20 ERA / 1.80 WHIP.
Recent use: LOTTE got 6 strong innings from Rodriguez on April 23, so only Hyeon Do-hoon 1 IP, Park Jeong-min 1 IP, Choi Jun-yong 1 IP were needed. That helps their bullpen entering this game.

Texas projects as the better side, but the live market is already charging for most of Jacob deGrom’s edge. The current board is roughly TEX -225 / PIT +185 with a 7.5 full-game total. Texas is already on a homestand after beating Pittsburgh 5-1 on Tuesday, so no first-game-home flat-spot deduction applies. Wyatt Langford also hit the IL on April 22, trimming a little from Texas’s lineup ceiling..
The starting-pitching gap is the core of the projection. Bubba Chandler has looked good and just threw 6 innings, 1 run against Tampa Bay on April 18, but he is still early in his MLB workload ramp and projects shorter than deGrom. Reuters also reported Chandler threw 90 pitches in that outing, which supports another controlled but real starter leash. Jacob deGrom’s current form remains ace-level enough that the market makes Texas a heavy favorite, and the projection still agrees with Texas as the likelier winner.
