Yes, my friends, I would agree laying double-digits is no breeze in college basketball. However, looking at the last several matchups between Penn State and Ohio State, has changed my mind. Two years ago, the Buckeyes took down the Nittany Lions, 79-67, and then last year, they bested them, 83-64. This year, PSU isn’t nearly as strong. Ohio State enters this matchup 5-4 in conference play. However, the visitor is the worst team in the Big Ten, going winless at 0-8 in league play. They enter this matchup losing six in a row and nine of their last 10, failing to cover their last three outings. As a matter of fact, this team, overall, on the season ranks 234th offensively and 232nd defensively. To be quite honest, none of their statistics are impressive at all. They're also 1-3 on the road this season, and have failed to cover two of their last three games played as a true road team. The home team enters this contest, possessing an overall record of 13-6 which includes a 9-2 mark on their own court, and has covered three consecutive games. Following back-to-back victories, they do come off an ugly road loss at the hands of the Wolverines, 74-62. I expect them to come out here with something to prove and bounce back with authority. They are averaging 5.6 PPG more offensively, and yielding 5.1 PPG less defensively. Look for them to absolutely dominate on the boards, and if this game gets physical, they own a top-10 free-throw shooting unit. I feel Ohio State will come out here with something to prove, and prove it. Take the Buckeyes. Thank you.
