The PLAY: Max Christie (DAL) Over 15.5 Points at Los Angeles
With the All-Star break on the horizon nothing would brighten the spirit of the Mavericks more than snapping their eight game losing streak against the Lakers tonight. Unfortunately, they’ll have to do it without Cooper Flagg and possibly Naji Marshall as we’ll look for former Lakers player Max Christie to go over 15.5 points. Now, we’re aware Christie hasn’t been efficient as of late but in three games without Flagg this season he averages 15.3 points per game and in two head-to-head contests with the Lakers Christie has averaged 18.5 points per game (both with Flagg in the lineup). LA ranks 19th in defensive efficiency across the last 10 games. Christie did have back-to-back games recently against the Spurs putting up 20 and 17 points respectively and like we said at the start, there should be increased effort from Dallas tonight to go into the break on a high note. With that, we expect Christie to be the catalyst of the Mavericks back court tonight so let’s take him to go over 15.5 points in LA against the Lakers.
