Last time here, he allowed one run on only one hit, lasting eight innings. Pérez is off a gem of his own but that came at home. In three road starts, averaging less than four innings, the 22-year old has a 6.35 ERA and 1.59 WHIP. The Reds' chances of making the playoffs, as per FanGraphs, are currently 10%. Not good. Needless to say, if they want to keep even the smallest amount of hope, they can't afford to keep losing to teams like Miami. The price is reasonable and I like their chances.
