The PLAY: Northwestern -10.5 (-110)
This is the GameAbove Sports Bowl in Detroit at Ford Field, formerly known as the QuikLane Bowl. Funny, these two teams are almost mirror images of each other, they are #60 and #61 in rush yards per game, Northwestern scores 22ppg, CMU 23ppg, and they both have great defenses as well. Even the two head coaches David Braun of Northwestern and Matt Drinkall of CMU said the same thing in their press conferences. All that being said, Northwestern's numbers were against much tougher competition as they play in the Big 10 and CMU hails from the MAC, so I'm buying into the Wildcats more than the Chippewahs here as Northwestern beat Penn St, shutout Purdue, hung tough vs Illinois and almost beat Michigan, all teams that would likely destroy CMU, and Northwestern QB Preston Stone should have a good day here as he's a 5th year senior and wants to go out on top, and the Wildcats likely run the ball as well, and we will roll with Northwestern minus the points.
