Carolina Hurricanes Win Regulation (-145):
The Carolina Hurricanes will be pulling out all of the stops on Tuesday night against the New York Islanders as they look to close out the series in front of their home crowd. The Hurricanes dominated in the first two games of this series at home with victories of 3-1 and 5-3. New York ranks in the bottom half of the league in scoring and they have struggled to score on Frederick Andersen with only 1, 3, 2 and 3 goals. Simply put, the Hurricanes have the better team and the last thing they want to do is breath life into the Islanders lungs and travel back to New York for a Game 6. The Islanders put it all on the line in Game 4 & still needed overtime and it will be nearly impossible to replicate that effort on the road. I strongly considered the plus money puck line but decided to play it a bit safe with a win in regulation.
