We have a number of interleague series kicking off, including this one here in Milwaukee. With two quality starters going head-to-head, I think Game 1 of this three-game series is destined to stay well UNDER the number as far as the total is concerned.
And for me, this pick does indeed primarily revolve around the starters.
Minnesota turns to Joe Ryan, who is 3-2 with a 2.74 ERA and tiny 0.83 WHIP, while the home side counters with Chad Patrick, who, despite a 2-3 win/loss record, sports a respectable 3.19 ERA and 1.25 WHIP
I believe these guys are destined to battle into the deeper innings, and because of that, the UNDER becomes my BEST BET for this contest.
