Make sure you join Cajun Sports on Saturday for their CFB 4% Big Ten Mega Special at Sports Memo. For their CFB Complimentary Selection for Saturday they use one of their actual Late Phone Selections in the LSU vs Ole Miss game! We are in the deep south where a pair of ranked SEC opponents face off on Saturday afternoon. LSU is coming off a blowout win over SE Louisiana winning 56 to 10 in Baton Rouge last Saturday. While Ole Miss was busy rolling over an overmatched Green Wave team winning 45 to 10. We are always careful when considering revenge as a factor in a game. In this game Ole Miss is playing with legit revenge against the Bengal Tigers having lost last season in the bayou by a final score of 29 to 26 in a hard-fought battle. We expect the Rebels to avenge that loss in Oxford on Saturday. The Tigers are 31st in the nation in passing offense with an average of 275 yards per game through the air, while they are 112th in rushing offense with 116.8 yards per contest. LSU is 77th in the FBS in scoring offense with an average of 29 points per game last season, while the Tigers are 9th in the country in scoring defense by allowing 9.2 points a contest. The Rebels are 14th in the nation in passing offense with 324.8 yards per game through the air and 25th in rushing offense with 218.5 yards per contest on the ground this season. Ole Miss is 12th in the FBS in scoring offense with 44.8 points per game and ranks 42nd in scoring defense by allowing 18.8 points per contest. LSU is 4-0 SU, but they have struggled against some weak opponents to get that record. They did defeat Clemson to open the season, but Clemson has lost two more games since then and have not looked good at all. The Bengal Tigers only managed to score twenty-three points against LA Tech, and they were outgained by Florida tossing five interceptions. Last week they started slow against SE Louisiana before eventually pulling away to get the win. Our numbers tell us the Ole Miss Rebels will get the win and cover against the Tigers today. Our TPR Index projects a point advantage of 6.97 points in favor of the Rebels. The MM projects a point differential of +5.44 points against the current line range in this contest. The SIM Matrix has the Rebels with a 73.98 percent advantage against the oddsmakers number in today’s game. The OFF-DEF splits have the Rebels with a 5.17-point advantage against the current number in today’s game. Play AGAINST CFB teams when they had at least forty-two passes in their last game, on no more than six days rest, and have lost no more than one game this season, 77-47 ATS (62%)(+$2,530). The host in this series is 11-1 ATS including the last seven straight. We are not going to play against that trend here as we lay the short price with the boys from Oxford.
PREDICTION: 3% MISSISSIPPI REBELS 29 LSU BENGAL TIGERS 23
