The PLAY: Zaccharie Risacher (ATL) Over 9.5 Points at Denver (-130)
With the Trae Young Era now over in Atlanta the Hawks look to further develop some of their young stars including Zaccharie Risacher who poured in a season high 25 points in the team’s 117-100 win at home over the Pelicans on Wednesday. We’re going to take the former #1 overall pick to go over 9.5 points tonight on the road at Denver with the Nuggets allowing the second most points per game to small forwards over the last week and the fourth most to the position for the season. Since Nikola Jokic went down with his long term injury the Nuggets are 27th in defensive rating and without Young in the lineup this season Risacher is averaging 12 ppg. Through four January games Risacher is averaging 15.3 ppg with 27 minutes played per game compared to December when he averaged only 9.2 ppg in 23.6 minutes played per game. Let’s take him to notch double digit scoring numbers again tonight against a Nuggets team that could struggle with this being their first game back at home since Christmas.
