The PLAY: Jared Vanderbilt (LAL) Over 10.5 Points + Rebounds at Sacramento (-115)
The Lakers look to get back to their winning ways tonight in Sacramento taking on the lowly Kings who on the season rank dead last in rebounding rate, offensive efficiency and sit 28th in defensive efficiency. With that we’re going to target Lakers power forward Jared Vanderbilt to go over 10.5 points + rebounds. He just had 18 points + rebounds in the Lakers 105-101 home loss against the Bucks and is averaging 11.6 points + rebounds in five January games. Vanderbilt has also been seeing an uptick in minutes throughout the months so far averaging 16.3 in November, 20.8 in December and now 23.4 in January and he currently has his highest usage rate since the 2022-23 season. The Kings have given up the most rebounds in the NBA to power forwards over the last seven days and although Vanderbilt technically isn’t a center, sometimes the Lakers use him in that slot as well in which Sacramento has given up the most points and second most rebounds per game to centers on the season as well. Look for Vanderbilt to keep making his mark as part of the second unit for the Lakers going over 10.5 points + rebounds in Sacramento tonight.
