I'm going to go against the grain here, as of posting this play most of the early money is coming in on the Tar Heels. I really feel the general public is wrong, my friends. The Cavaliers enter this matchup looking for some revenge as they have lost the last two meetings against their conference rival, and five of the last seven overall, both straight up and against the spread. However, UNC comes in here struggling a bit, dropping three of the last five SU, and failing to cover four of those five outings, which includes losses and no covers in three consecutive road contest. They also come in here a little less rested. UVA has last taken the court on the 17th giving them a few extra days to rest, heal, and prepare. They also enter this match up winning five in a row, both SU and ATS, and own a perfect 10-0 mark at home this season. Neither team has a threatening opponent on deck, so I don't see a look ahead situation for either. I just feel the Cavaliers are playing better basketball, are playing at home, and will certainly frustrate the Tar Heels offense with their stellar defense. I also feel they will absolutely pick apart the North Carolina 209th ranked three-point defense, with the nation’s 34th best three-point shooting offense, which is averaging over 37.1% from downtown. I'm going to go against the grain here and take Virginia. Thank you.
