These two pitchers are the best for their teams and their metrics indicate that. Skubal was dominant against the Guardians this season, and Williams also had success against Detroit. However, the Tigers have the edge with Skubal who can pitch deep into this game and they have the better offense. Skubal going deep neutralizes the need for them to go to the bullpen too early. Cleveland is going to have some trouble hitting Skubal, especially with their terribly inconsistent offense this season, and against left handed pitchers that still give them some trouble. Skubal is 8-3 straight up on the road this season as a favorite of -150 or more.
