The White Sox got blanked in Game 1 of this series, giving them their fourteenth loss in 16 games. It was their sixth time in 16 games that Chicago was blanked. And for the second straight contest, the White Sox will start a pitcher making his major league debut. The Royals (11-6) on the other hand, have won nine of their last 12 games. They have also dominated the White Sox, taking seven straight meetings against them, which does include all five games this season, outscoring them 22-5 in those victories. Kansas City will start Brady Singer, who is 2-0 with a mere 0.98 ERA. The RH has allowed just 10 hits and two runs over 18 1/3 innings this season while striking out 18. And on April 5 against Chicago, Singer allowed just one run on two hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings while striking out four. The White Sox just won’t be able to compete here with the hot Royals with Singer on the mound. Play Kansas City on the run line in Game 1.
