Edmonton Oilers ML (-135):
We backed the Edmonton Oilers in each game of the series against the Los Angeles Kings and we are backing them in Game 1 against the Vancouver Canucks despite being swept 4-0 during the regular season. Three of those four games were played during th regular season prior to the Oilers being at full strength with the additions of Corey Perry and Adam Henrique. The Canucks wil be at a disadvantage in net as Thatcher Demko will be unavailable for Game 1 while Stuart Skinner has been rock solid. Connor McDavid/Leon Draisaitl & company will have a huge special teams edge as they have scored on nearly 50% (9/20) of their playoff power plays while not allowing a single short-handed goal. The Canucks also have not got the necessary production out of their star Elias Petterson who only had three points in the first round while failing to cash in when it mattered most. The Oilers are huge favorites to win the series and I fully expect the extra rest to benefit this absolutely loaded team.
