So the Texas A&M Aggies are a team at a crossroads. So is their head coach, Jimbo Fisher. They are paying him a boat load of money and yet the results have just not been there.

Now, there schedule this year has been brutal, granted. But, the results have been very underwhelming. Games against Clemson, Auburn, and Alabama were not even competitive. They also barely got by teams they are much better than like Arkansas. Their record is 3-3 and today's game is exactly the kind of game that this team will not show up for. The Texas A&M’s defense has allowed at least 27 points in three straight games, including 47 to Bama last weekend.

The Ole Miss Rebels (3-4, 1-2 SEC) are 3-1 at home this season with their only loss to then-No. 23 California in the final seconds, thanks to a blown call by the refs in that game. Their QB John Rhys Plumlee rushed for 143 yards and had all four of his teams  touchdowns in last week’s 38-27 lost at Missouri. Keep in mind that the defense of Missouri is much better than what A&M has shown to be.

The Aggies are 0-4 ATS in their last four against the SEC, 1-4 ATS in their last five against opponents with losing records, 7-20 ATS in their last 27 October games, and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 following a loss.

Ole Miss on the other hand is 4-0 ATS in its last four against the SEC and 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings between the two teams.

When you add it all up, you have yourself a great opportunity to back a home dog in a conference game.

That's what I'll be doing. I'm betting Ole Miss gives A&M another reason to question the money they are giving Jimbo Fisher.
