CFB | (217) Missouri St at (218) USC | 7:30pm EDT - Aug 30/2025 |
The PLAY: USC -32.5 (-110)
This is one of the biggest mismatches in the month of August. USC is loaded with talent and looking to build off last year's finish. Missouri State, making its FBS debut, will be outclassed all over the field. Recall that the Trojans were last seen, defeating Texas A&M in the 35-31 in the Las Vega Bowl last December. The Trojans erased a 17-point deficit along the way, their biggest bowl comeback ever. Lincoln Riley commented: “In some ways it was kind of a poetic ending to the season. I’m incredibly proud of this group. The resiliency that they’ve shown. I told them there’s a toughness and a hardness developing in this program right now. You can look at a lot of different points throughout this season and certainly tonight and you see that. I have a lot of excitement about that. Our motto is ‘Fight On!’, and this team really embodies that." Last season, the Trojans began with a win over LSU and followed it up with a 48-0 drubbing of Utah State, a game they were laying -31 points for. Knowing that much tougher games lie ahead, the Trojans will take advantage of this early mismatch to build confidence with another one-sided blowout victory. *good up to -34

MLB | (973) San Francisco Giants at (974) Toronto Blue Jays | 7:07pm EDT - Jul 18/2025 |
The PLAY: Toronto Blue Jays -131 J Verlander (RHP), C Bassitt (RHP) Must Start
Both teams are going to be hungry for a victory in their return from the break. The Blue Jays may have the edge on the mound. Bassitt is 9-4 with a mediocre 4.12 ERA. However, a closer look shows that he is 6-0 with a much better 2.81 ERA in his 10 home starts. Verlander, on the other hand, is 0-7 with a 4.70 ERA. His ERA climbs to 4.99 when he's on the road and 5.40 when he pitches at night. Bassitt is 3-2 in seven career starts against the Giants. Verlander, despite throwing two no-hitters against the Jays, is 4-7 in 16 starts against them. While Verlander will eventually get that elusive first win, this isn't an easy venue to get it at. As a team, the Jays are 32-16 here, the best home record in the American League. Consider Toronto.
