CFB | (231) Notre Dame at (232) Miami Florida | 7:30pm EDT - Aug 31/2025 |
The PLAY: Total Under 49.5 (-110)
We get the renewal of the Catholics vs Convicts Rivalry down in Miami, and this one has playoff implications with #6 Notre Dame taking on #10 Miami.
Marcus Freeman has shown time and again that he’s a big-game coach, and he’ll have the Irish locked in with a disciplined, physical plan on both sides of the ball. Notre Dame’s defense is elite, and they’ll look to confuse Carson Beck, who transferred in from Georgia after a couple strong seasons with the Bulldogs. Beck has the tools to make Miami dangerous, but this is the kind of matchup where one mistake can flip momentum fast.
There’s also some unique wrinkles here. Howard University plays in Hard Rock Stadium the day before, which could leave the turf a bit sloppy. Add in the bizarre headline: Mario Cristobal will reportedly be the first coach in football history to coach from the press box instead of the sideline. That’s a strange dynamic, and it could affect communication and in-game flow.
When you combine a potentially messy field, a conservative Notre Dame game plan, and Miami adjusting to an unprecedented coaching setup, this game sets up to be more grind than fireworks. Let's ride the under.

CFB | (209) Eastern Michigan at (210) Texas State | 8:00pm EDT - Aug 30/2025 |
The PLAY: Eastern Michigan +13.5 (-105)
Chris Creighton enters his 12th season at Eastern Michigan, making him one of the longest-tenured coaches in the MAC. Stability has been a calling card for the Eagles, and they’ll lean on that again as former Michigan State/Coastal Carolina transfer Noah Kim takes over at quarterback.
Texas State comes off the best two-year stretch in program history, and there’s plenty of motivation with this being their final season in the Sun Belt before transitioning to the Pac-12 in 2026. However, they’ve got major roster turnover to overcome – nearly 20 players left via the transfer portal this offseason, leaving some big shoes to fill.
Eastern Michigan has been a scrappy road underdog under Creighton, and this feels like another spot where they can hang tough. Texas State may still get the win, but asking them to cover a big number with so much roster uncertainty is a tall order.
We like the Eagles to keep this one closer than oddsmakers expect.

CFB | (157) Central Michigan at (158) San Jose State | 10:30pm EDT - Aug 29/2025 |
The PLAY: San Jose State -13.5 (-108)
Ken Niumatalolo enters his 2nd year leading the Spartans. San Jose State was picked to finish 3rd in the Mountain West preseason media poll, the highest prediction for the program since divisions were eliminated. QB Walker Eget, supported by a strengthened receiving corps and capable RB trio make them a contender in the Mountain West. It’s unlikely they catch up to Boise St in conference this year, but they do have a lot of talent. Derrick Odum runs a 3-4 scheme, and they should be strong defensively as well.
Matt Drinkall takes the helm in his first season after being hired late in 2024 following Jim McElwain’s retirement. The Chippewas are in a rebuilding stage right now, and headed to the West Coast might not be the best thing for them, as we think they will struggle with the Spartans talent.
Let’s roll with San Jose St.
