I think that the wrong team is favored here. The Yanks just had their big win streak snapped in a 3-2 loss at the White Sox.
New York is now 35-33 on the road, while Houston is 42-30 at home.
Max Fried has been a consistent bright spot for the Yanks all year, but Framber Valdez has been exceptional at home this year, going 6-2 with a 1.71 ERA.
And while 8-3 on the road, Fried's ERA is 3.71 on the road this season (also note that since the All-Star break, he's gone 3-2 with a pedestrian 4.95 ERA).
Give me the good home team in a fight for top spot in its division at this price, with what I feel is the superior starting pitcher in the matchup as well for them.
