Both UCLA and New Mexico do not have a great offences and on top of that neither team runs a great pace. When New Mexico playing Idaho State a week ago they managed 60 plays from scrimmage and against Michigan 76 yards from scrimmage. As UCLA when facing Utah last week they ran 51 plays and against UNLV 70 plays. Third downs have been downright awful for UCLA in the first two games of the season as they are 5 for 24. New Mexico does not pose a threat downfield against UCLA and the Bruins as mentioned earlier have 3rd down conversion issues. Both offences will have difficulty putting up enough points to have this game go over the total and keep in mind the total opened up at 55.5 with it now dropping by two points to the current total for good reason as mentioned above. Definitely take a look at the under in this matchup
