This is a FREE PLAY on the UNDER Rangers/Astros.
This is a huge series, with Texas sitting two games back of the Astros for the final AL Wildcard spot. With two competent hurlers going head-to-head in the opener, I'm anticipating a lower-scoring combined final outcome.
The visitors hand the ball to Jack Leiter (9-8, 3.81 ERA), who gave up three runs over five innings in a no-decision to the Brewers in his last outing. He owns a 130:64 K:BB.
He'll be opposed by Jason Alexander (4-1, 4.19 ERA), who is off a no-decision to the Jays despite allowing no runs over seven shutout innings. Alexander has "turned the corner" with his performance over the last month and I expect that progression to continue here.
Everything points to a "duel." I like the UNDER in this one.
