The PLAY: Florida Panthers -105
This is a FREE PLAY on the Florida Panthers.
I think at this price that the defending champs are worth a "second look" in this matchup in LA on Thursday night.
Florida is 6-6-1 overall, including just 1-5 on the road. I had the Panthers in their last game in Anaheim, and the Ducks skated away with a convincing 7-3 victory in the end. I've played on Anaheim a couple of times already this year, and they continue to surprise, as I really did like the way that one set up for Florida.
That was at a steeper price, but now I actually feel that the value on the Panthers has increased from their last game.
LA is 6-4-4, but the Kings are only 1-3-2 at home this year.
This is the end of a four-game home stand for the Kings, and after losing the first two games, they bounced back with a 3-0 win over Winnipeg last time out.
But with a six-game road trip upcoming, I think LA is going to get caught "looking ahead" here.
It's a great spot for the Panthers to finally bounce back in. They still have two road games at San Jose and Las Vegas and won't be looking past the Kings whatsoever as they now desperately try to correct the issues they're having closing out games on the road.
Sergei Bobrovsky is expected in net for the Panthers, and he's 6-4 with a 2.81 goals against, while LA turns to Darcy Kuemper, who is 4-3-3 with a 2.57 GAA.
These guys are evenly matched, so they're essentially a "wash."
The difference for me comes down to the intangible and off-ice factors, like the scheduling, and I believe those small things will add up to a solid win for FLORIDA, finally in LA on Thursday night.
Consider the Panthers.
Good luck, NP

| NHL | (33) Columbus Blue Jackets at (34) Calgary Flames | 9:37pm EST - Nov 5/2025 |
The PLAY: Total Over 6.0 (-110)
This is a FREE PLAY on the OVER Jackets/Flames.
I base my picks on many different things, but for the most part, I base my Over/Under releases on what I perceive to be great "situations."
And that's the case with this one, as I believe a faster-paced affair will lead to plenty of pucks finding the back of the net on Wednesday night in Calgary.
The Flames enter hungry, just 3-9-2 overall, including 1-3-1 at home, but off a 2-1 victory at Philadelphia to salvage the finale, clearly, Calgary can't look past this favorable opportunity.
And Calgary is favored here slightly, yet nearly 70% of the early money and bets are on the visiting side.
Columbus is 7-5 overall, including 4-2 on the road. That includes going 6-0 on the road with the puckline option, by the way.
Either way, while the Flames have clearly not lived up to expectations whatsoever this season so far, the Blue Jackets have exceeded, as they're now looking to bounce back after a 3-2 loss at the Islanders snapped a four-game win streak in which they combined to score 18 goals.
Columbus will be a bigger underdog in each of its remaining three road games at Vancouver, Edmonton, and Seattle, so this is a game for sure that the Blue Jackets will feel that they have a legitimate shot at winning.
This is the first game of the year between the clubs, but it appears to me to be one that will be fast-paced and wide-open offensively.
Consider the OVER.
Good luck, NP
