The PLAY: Total Over 39.5 (-106)
The Saints are playing their best football of the season, covering the spread in four of the last five games. Rookie QB Tyler Shough went 32-of-49 through the air for 308 passing yards in last week's 29-6 win over the Jets. Tennessee is 5-2 against the spread over the last seven games and the Titans have earned a pair of outright upset wins over the Browns and Chiefs. Fellow rookie Cam Ward continues to show some flashes in Nashville, going 21-of-28 for 228 passing yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in last week's 26-9 win over Kansas City. We've been riding the over in Tennessee's games over the last month, and we're not getting off the train at this stop. The Titans' offense made its contribution toward the total last week, but the Chiefs (down to their third-string QB) didn't pull their share of the weight. Tennessee should have a willing dance partner in this one. First-year head coach Kellen Moore is clearly getting more comfortable with Shough at the helm, and don't forget about what Taysom Hill can bring to the Saints' offense. Hill missed the first six weeks because of injury, but he had 12 carries plus a touchdown pass in last week's win over the Jets. Both offenses are playing with some confidence right now and we certainly wouldn't be shocked if there was a special teams score in this one as both squads have found success in that department in recent weeks.
