FINNs NBA WEST GAME SET & MATCH II - Full Game Denver Nuggets -3.5 (-110) | The position on the Nuggets first half via the money line is good with Denver -140 or less.
3% game rating
Venue: The Crypt in Los Angeles, CA
Referees: Zach Zarba, Tyler Ford, and Sean Corbin – There won't be any amount, large or small, of funny business from this trio of officials. The Zarba factor is up-and-down action even when the teams are not necessarily high-octane nor a form of offensive transition off made or missed shots. Not even turnovers would create either squad to beam outside their bodies to make a call or be something they are not. The Ford boost in this potential series ending Game 4 will follow the lead of Zarba while Corbin has a trendy lean-to in the folder labeled “away favorites.”
Denver Nuggets Starting Lineup
PG - J. Murray
SG - Caldwell-Pope
SF - M. Porter
PF – A. Gordon
C – The Joker
Nuggets injuries
PG - Mr. October is questionable due to an ankle sprain. Do not expect to see Jackson for more than playing a part in the encore in this matchup … and looking fit and spry when the Nuggest begins preparing for Round 2 – a time that will arrive as soon as the final horn sounds to signal that the scoreboard clock reads 0:00.
Los Angeles Lakers Starting Lineup
PG - D. Russell
SG - A. Reaves
SF - L. James (ankle/probable)
PF - Rui Hachimura
C - C. Wood - looks to be a form of the Lakers going small in this win-or-go-home event …
Lakers Injuries
F – L. James finds his way to the injury report. A shocking development
C - A. Davis (despite the sarcasm I am about to use when describing AD being on the IL, he is not likely to be a factor in tonight's game – unless you consider being inactive a factor in this matchup inside the Crypt – like I DO!), like James, somehow finds his way to the injury report. Something seems strangely status quo.
C – C. Wood (knee/was upgraded to questionable)
F - C. Reddish (OUT)
F - J. Vanderbilt (OUT)
With or without A. Davis the Lakers are in a tough spot – a similar one less than a year removed from these two playing for the West Finals a year ago.
Without Davis, or a healthy, focused, and committed Davis (which would take more than Lawyers, Guns, and Money) the Lakers have no reason and no business winning this game, all things as they are.
And Note, if the Lakers are not interested in the final score, or winning if you will, their lack of understanding of the “Art of the Stop” doesn't improve … just so you know.
The Nuggets defend and connect for more first-half points, more game-ending points, and J. Murray free reign of his space on the long side of the 3-line and a protected pathway to the rim, at his disposal.
The full game position on this matchup, the Game 4 matchup, finds the Nuggets winning by a large margin and is worthy of a position on an Alternate Spread. If the Lakers do not active Davis that separation could be in the first half.
If Davis is playing through hoof and mouth ailments then once the Nuggets pull away, and take a double-digit lead in this game, you will find the Lakers waving the white flag and the focus on this matchup being equal to watching a man born blind to understand the description of Black and Blue, the man born blind attempting to understand and feel what the colors combined means or how it feels for others.
