It's important for the Mariners, who hold down the No. 3 wildcard spot by three games over KC and 4.5 over Texas.
And it's important for the Dodgers, who are in a neck-and-neck race with the Dodgers for top spot in the division, are taking two of three from LA this weekend.
These starting pitchers have been thoroughly pedestrian all year, with JP Sears (7-9, 4.95 ERA) getting the call for the visitors, and Bryce Miller (2-5, 5.87) countering for the home side.
Sears has struggled since the All-Star break, posting a 1-3, 5.60 ERA.
Look for these teams to chase these starters early and expect this total to fly OVER the number before it's all said and done.
